How can it still be winter and almost 70 degrees in Atlanta?

What makes winter tolerable in Atlanta is the lovely breaks we get between the dreary cold days.  These images were from a day when Atlanta had warm, spring like sunshine and temperatures almost to 70 degrees.  The painters were busy with finishing touches on the main level and the basement.  The kitchen has drop cloths to protect the appliances.  Just look past the drop cloths and there is a great kitchen for the cook in the family.  See what is new.  The sinks are installed in the hall bathroom and the master bathroom.  Today you see the first look at the downstairs owners suite.  The bathroom is nearly complete with the tiled shower, the vanity is installed.  The laundry room adjacent to the owners suite in the basement is just waiting for the appliances that will come with new owners.  Until the next posting, Ciao.

The snow is gone and work has resumed

The weather has cleared and you can see how much has been happening .  The fall leaves have been raked and the front entry looks even more inviting.
The floors have been refinished and look amazing.  The living room has recessed lighting in the ceiling and the accent alcove by the cabinets. Looks like it will be a great place to relax and entertain.  Check out the back splash and the new range hood in the kitchen.  The back splash behind the range has some beautiful detail with the tile!   The black granite in the master suite bathroom looks wonderful with all the detail tile work throughout the bathroom.  The lower deck has been screened and will be a wonderful area when it warms up.  Yes, it is still winter in Atlanta.

Winter Wonderland

Atlanta has been transformed into a winter wonderland twice during the holidays.  While it has been beautiful, it has slowed things down.  The images in the front are after the snow has started to melt from the storm last week.  The ice is still treacherous on the front walk and front steps.  Work has resumed.  Watch for the finishing touches!
